Morgan appeared in a documentary clip Safe Sex for Men and Women about AIDS prevention and education. Part of the proceeds went toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part-time member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising initiatives and gave a testimony at a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. Morgan is member of the Board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada, has asked her to take over his duties on occasions at AIDS associated events. In addition, she was the host of the AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have made appearances on Nightline at least twice, to discuss AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for one of the Emmy award winner in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written specifically for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest as Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. In the following week, she kicked off her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. The show also featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next time she appeared, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film garnered one of its greatest ratings of all time.
